Slide the feed mode switch to the left to switch the feed
mode to Manual/Single mode.
The following screen is displayed on the LCD of the operator panel.

Scan the document with the image scanning application.

Long Page Scanning
Documents with a length up to 5,588 mm (220 in.) can be
scanned by long page scanning.
If you scan a long page document and split the scanned
image into multiple pages, a document of up to 200 m (218.8
yd.) can be scanned.
Depending on the resolution setting or the image scanning
application, the document sizes that can be scanned may
differ.

Load a document in the ADF paper chute (feeder).

ATTENTION
Moving the feed mode switch during a scan causes an error.
Setting the feed mode switch to Manual/Single mode disables
[Check Overlapping (Ultrasonic)] in the multifeed detection
setting.
HINT
The scanner will wait for the next document to be loaded until the
time specified for the Timeout time elapses, even if there is no
document in the ADF paper chute (feeder).

ATTENTION
Long page documents should be loaded one sheet at a time in
the ADF paper chute (feeder).
When you scan long pages, take note of the following:
- Loading
Hold the document with your hand so it does not fall out of the
ADF paper chute (feeder).
