Troubleshooting: Specific Problems

Troubleshooting on Managed Nodes

This section includes descriptions of specific problems that may occur on
the ITO managed nodes and provides a solution.

1. Identify the ITO version installed on the management server by

looking at the

/opt/OV/bin/OpC/install/opcsvinfo

file on the

management server.

Problem

Ungraceful abort of the ITO GUI leaving some GUI processes still
running

Description

You receive the error message

The user is already logged on.

(50-17)

, when logging on to ITO after the ITO GUI has crashed while

users were still logged on.

Solution

Some GUI processes may still be running; check for the following
processes and kill them:

opcuiadm

opcuiop

opcdispr

ovw

If these processes are not running, but you still receive the error message,
delete the entry for logged-on operators from the ITO database:

su - oracle

svrmgrl

connect internal;

select * from opc_op.opc_op_runtime;

To delete the entry for a specific user (currently logged on):

delete from opc_op.opc_op_runtime where name =

‘<

username

>’;

To delete the entry for a all users (currently logged on):

delete from opc_op.opc_op_runtime;

commit;

exit

exit
