Displaying Anti-Virus Alert
Messages in Windows
With the anti-virus packet scan, when a virus is detected, you can have the ZyWALL display
an alert message on Miscrosoft Windows-based computers. If the log shows that virus files are
being detected but your Miscrosoft Windows-based computer is not displaying an alert
message, use one of the following procedures to make sure your computer is set to display the
messages.
Windows XP
1 Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.

2 Select the Messenger service and click Start.
