This chapter provides some examples of using the web configurator to set up features in the
ZyWALL. See also
for an example of configuring L2TP.
6.1 How to Configure Ethernet Interfaces and Port Roles
This tutorial shows how to configure Ethernet interfaces and port roles for the following
example configuration (see
for the default configuration).
• The wan1 interface uses a static IP address of 1.2.3.4.
• The opt interface is used for a separate local network. It uses IP address 192.168.4.1 and
has a DHCP server. It stays in the OPT zone so you can configure separate security
policies for its traffic.
• This example does not use the ext-wlan interface (for Ethernet-connected APs) so you
remove port P6 from the ext-wlan interface and add it to the dmz interface instead.
