7.7.6 REMOTE Commands
Remote commands perform an action based on the specific command given.
Commands are provided to affect global features which are system level oriented
(RG commands) or channel information which is layer oriented (RL commands).
Every command requires a remote code and may require a value. Commands,
codes and values are separated by a space. Command variations include:
RG . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Affects a system or instrument level
condition.
RL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Affects conditions of the specified layer.
For each command format the symbol

represents a blank space. The format is:

This command can be used to affect system or instrument level features. A value
may be required.

NOTE: Codes 0,1, and 2 need to be separated by one tenth of a second.

Start - equivalent to hitting a start key.

Stop - equivalent to hitting a stop key.

Reset - equivalent to hitting a reset key.

Remote Lock On - prohibits any parameter from being
entered via front panel.

Remote Lock Off - clears remote lock condition. Also clears
Display Lock.

Set Logic vvv - sets the Logic number indicated. NOTE:
this will happen only if in the Logic Statement the Event is
set as computer controlled. Otherwise, this command will
be ignored.

Clear Logic vvv - clears the Logic number indicated.
NOTE: this will happen only if in the Logic Statement the
Event is set as computer controlled. Otherwise, this
command will be ignored.

Crystal Fail Inhibit On - prohibits the crystal fail Event from
being true.

Crystal Fail Inhibit Off - allows the crystal fail Event to be
true.

Display Lock On - locks front panel display and keyboard.
Used to speed response time via communications.
(Cleared by issuing RG 4 command.) Display Lock is
automatically cleared on a power failure.
