Table 6-4 Function Key Selection Choices for the Define User Messages Display
Key Function Description
F1 EDIT MESSAGE Pressing this key will display a series of 20
underscores representing the positions of the 20
characters. The left and right arrow keys are used to
move back and forth among the 20 positions. The
up and down arrow keys are used to scroll through
an alphanumeric listing, A through Z, 0 through 9,
and the following characters: !, #, ±, %, & and -.
Once the desired character is displayed, pressing
the E key enters the character and advances the
reverse video cursor box to the next position.
F2 SAVE MESSAGE Pressing this key saves the Message. Once saved,
this message will be displayed whenever this
MESSAGE ON ### is chosen in the Edit Logic
Statement Display.
F3 CANCEL MESSAGE
CHANGE Pressing this key cancels any changes to the
Message made after pressing the EDIT MESSAGE
panel.
F4 CLEAR MESSAGE Pressing this key clears the selected Message from
the Define User Messages display
F6 I/O Pressing this key returns the display to the I/O
display.
