6.1.3
Communication problems between keyboard and receiver
If a receiver does not respond to the controls check the following:
does the receiver model connected to the telemetry line (A or B) use the protocol setting for the telemetry
line?
does the receiver address correspond to the one shown on the display?
does the receiver baud rate correspond to the setting for the telemetry line?
does the telemetry line in question output to a video cable or a dedicated connector?
has the connection between keyboard and receiver been made correctly?
if the system is to use a matrix in the SM...A series, has it been configured correctly?
The information concerning which device is being controlled is easy to obtain by using the
key (see §
4.2.7 - System Information and service menu, page 43).
6.1.4
Conventional terminology
The terms “Video programming”, “On Screen Menu” and “OSM” and “OSD” should be considered as
equivalent; in the users' handbooks for the domes they are used indifferently.
The term "toggle" means “reverse the status”: if a parameter is active (ON), after a “toggle” command it will
be deactivated (OFF) and vice versa.
The term “camera” and “telecamera” should be considered as equivalent.
6.1.5
Layout of the configuration menus
The domes and receivers can be configured in the following ways:
On Screen Menu (OSM)
Special codes (insertion of numeric codes associated with specific controls)
All devices have a common layout for the access menus. The following is an example for a dome.
