Logical address
The default setting for the “Logical address ” parameter is “NO”.
This configuration is necessary if you choose to send telemetry controls to the video matrix, using the physical
address of the dome.
EXAMPLE: in the case where the video signal of camera 1 (logical address 1), which has physical address 23
with respect to the network, has to be displayed by a matrix that needs the address 23 for its own purposes and
not the logical address for the video to operate correctly.
If the “Logical address” parameter is set to “YES”, you choose to send telemetry controls to the video matrix
by making use of the logical address of the dome, even if the dome has been set to a different physical address
in the network.
The logical address must be set to “NO” with the following products:
8/4 ENEO matrix, EKR series
16/4 ENEO matrix, EKR series
4/2 VIDEOTEC matrix, SM..A series
8/2 VIDEOTEC matrix, SM..A series
8/4 VIDEOTEC matrix, SM..A series
16/4 VIDEOTEC matrix, SM..A
On the other hand, the following products can be used indifferently with the logical address setting to “YES”
or “NO”:
32/8 ENEO matrix, EKR series
32/8 VIDEOTEC matrix, SM..A series
If “NO” has been selected, the matrix must be set up so that it disables decodification of the receivers, while if
“YES” has been selected the matrix must be setup so that it enables decodification of the receivers.
