2.5 DIP switch
The back of the keyboard has a DIP switch used to insert/remove the load on the RS485 lines and to enable
communication between the keyboard and the Personal Computer.
See § 3.1 - Video line and telemetry lines, page 13 for further information about inserting the line loads.

ON: PC connection mode
OFF: normal mode (default)

During normal keyboard operation DIP1 should be kept in the OFF position, otherwise it is
impossible to communicate with the devices connected to the VIDEO line connector
2.6 Safety precautions when using the keyboard
 Do not use appliances with damaged or loose plugs.
 Do not take out the plug by pulling the cable and do not touch the plug with wet hands.
 Do not bend the plug and wire excessively and do not damage them by putting heavy objects on top of
them.
 Do not connect too many extension leads or plugs to a single power outlet.
 Position the keyboard on a level, stable surface.
 Do not allow liquid to get inside the keyboard.
 Do not place heavy objects on the keyboard, and in particular on the sensitive surface of the display.
 Do not use gloves or objects with abrasive surfaces.
 Do not place containers holding liquids, or other small objects that could damage the sensitive surface of
the display, on the keyboard.
 Do not use abrasive sponges or pointed objects on the sensitive surface of the display.
 Before cleaning the display disconnect the power supply.
 Do not clean the touch screen with detergents or aggressive substances (e.g. Ammonia-based).
