10.2.3
Level two: using the maps
When the maps are used it is possible to exceed the maximum limit of 30 keys that can be displayed in the
main menu, so that the user can create menus with more complex customisation and a tighter structure.
The two levels are able to co-exist so that it is possible to create a system in which the main functions are also
shown in the main menu, while the rest are only present in the maps.
It is possible to use up to 40 keys in each of the 30 map pages. For restricted use, the “jump to page” function
can be associated with insertion of a password.
In the following example an alarm event management page in the maps is loaded from the main menu.
Use of both the main menu and maps
10.3 Sending telemetry controls on the video line
As described so far, it is possible to use the keyboard by connecting it to a general device and interacting with
this device only at the basic function level.
Telemetry can be managed directly via the keyboard Video line, or else it is possible to send telemetry
controls (for line A or line B) directly to the video device (DVR, MUX, PC etc.) which in this case must be
able to interpret the controls and direct them towards the object being controlled (dome, receiver, etc.).
This means that Macro (Videotec) telemetry controls must be implemented; see the specific document, which
has already been described in § 10.1.3 - The Controls, pag. 168.
To configure the keyboard so that it is able to send telemetry controls via the Video line, make the following
settings:
Setup/COMUNICATIONS/2-TELEMETRY/A-Connector: (or B-Connector:)
Video
Setup/COMUNICATIONS/2-TELEMETRY/A-Protocol: (or B-Protocol:)
