4.2.5 Password
This menu is used to insert the three system passwords and three user passwords in order to limit use of the
keyboard to authorised personnel only.
Position the cursor next to the item to be modified and press the ” ent ” key.
The display will request the insertion of a 5-digit number and its subsequent reconfirmation; the new password
will only be accepted if the two values coincide.
System Passwords Description
At switching on Password required whenever the keyboard is switched on.
Alarms reset Password required for resetting matrix alarms.
Param. modification Password required for entering SETUP menu.
User Passwords Description
Level 1, 2 and 3 passwords
GRAPHICS environment Passwords required when changing map pages if they have been enabled
in the “Jump Page” function associated with a key (see § 7.4.3.9.4 -
“Jump page” Controls, page 155). They are used to define reserved
areas or areas with access for a limited number of users.
• If the value 00000 is inserted, this will disable requirement of the corresponding password.
• The keyboard is programmed in the factory with all passwords set to “00000”.
• The three level 1, 2 and 3 passwords are equivalent to one another, there is no hierarchy.
WARNING: If the keyboard default values are restored (see § 4.2.6.1 - Restore basis values, page
38) all passwords will take the value “00000”.
