Control menu area
This area has a series of keys that are used to enter the menus for activating specific functions (see § 4.4 -
Control menu area, page 45).

Direct control area
This area has a series of keys, the number of which depends on the type of system configuration and on the
type of device connected to the keyboard (see § 4.5 - Direct control area, page 49).
4.1.3.6
Status line
This area may contain messages, the function of which is to:
show the address of the camera and of the video unit, if selected (only in the GRAPHICS environment);
show the status of the joystick (on/off) and of the Zoom/Focus/Iris functions (on/off) (only in the
GRAPHICS environment);
describe the current display on the screen;
describe the type of control that has been sent;
describe alarm events if they occur;
describe faults or failures in the communication lines.
