4 CONFIGURING THE KEYBOARD
4.1 Description of the system
4.1.1
How to interact with the keyboard
The keyboard is provided with a touch screen, therefore all controls that do not require movement of the
joystick should be sent/selected by pressing with the fingers on the buttons shown on the display.
The keyboard will sound a short beep every time one of the graphics keys is pressed.
4.1.2
Switching on the system
When the keyboard is powered, the system will show a system presentation screen and then pass on to show
the main menu.
If the access password has been enabled, it must be entered and confirmed.
4.1.3
Main Menu
The main menu is the starting point from which all the keyboard functions are carried out. It is divided into
areas and each area is used for particular functions.
The following illustration shows only one of the possible system configurations; the image appearing on your
display may be slightly different because of a different configuration.

System data area
In this area there are two keys for loading the following functions: :
access to the system setup menus (see § 4.2.1 - System Setup , page 19)
display of main system settings (see § 4.2.7 - System Information and service menu, page 43)

GRAPHICS environment Area
In this area there are two keys for loading the following functions:
access to the GRAPHICS environment (see § 4.6 - GRAPHICS Environment Area, page 50)
display the last page to be visited in the GRAPHICS environment.
4.1.3.3
Video/telemetry control area
This area has a series of keys, the number of which depends on the type of system configuration.
Basically they are used to operate the matrix, DVR or MUX connected to the VIDEO connector and to select
the devices connected to the two TELEMETRY lines A and B (see § 4.3 - Video/telemetry control area, page
44).
