Setting the Emulation options
Emulation Purpose
The purpose of this option is to assign the Controller emulation default to
either Automatic Format Detection (AFR) or to a specific emulation.
An example of using this option is if your site normally prints only TIFF files,
by specifying the default to be TIFF the execution speed will be slightly
increased. In this case the HP-PJL ENTER LANGUAGE command of a job
file is used as a ‘hint’ by the AFR.
This option sets the default Controller data format interpreter.
Range: AUTO, CALCOMP, CALS1, CALS2, CGM, VRASTER, HPGL,
HPGL2, HPGL758X, TIFF6, PS, or VDS
Default: AUTO
Note: After a specific emulation has been selected, the Controller will try
the selected emulation first when interpreting a file. If this emulation fails
the AFR test, the Controller will automatically try other emulations until it
finds one that is successful.

Press the ENTER key to change option. Press the NEXT key to toggle
through the selections and when the desired selection is displayed, press the
ENTER key.
EXITING EMULATION OPTIONS
Press EXIT to set up additional functions. Press the ON-LINE key to go back
to ON-LINE mode.
