After the basic configuration is completed, you can further customize your system by using the
following configuration options:
• “Configuring the media bay module”
• “Configuring modem settings” on page 221
• “Checking for software updates” on page 221
• “Configuring voice mail” on page 221
• “Customizing security policies” on page 221
• “Performing a backup” on page 222
Configuring the media bay module
For information on installing a media bay module (MBM) and setting the DIP switches, refer to
“Installing a media bay module (MBM)” on page 107 .
You can also refer to “Connecting the BCM expansion unit to the BCM main unit” on page 105
for more details on connecting the cables between the main unit and expansion unit.
To configure the MBM
1 Open BCM Element Manager and connect to your BCM system.
2 From the Configuration tab, click the Resources folder to expand it.
3 From the Resources folder, select Telephony Resources (see Figure 99 ).

4 In the Modules section, select the row of the MBM that you want to configure.
5 Double-click the Prog Type field to display the drop-down list.
