MXF export behavior on K2 Media Client
The following sections specify how a K2 Media Client handles file formats when they
are exported as MXF.
XDCAM (SD and HD): Behavior on MXF export from K2 systems
Upon MXF export the K2 system checks media for XDCAM specifications as listed
in the table below. If specifications match, the media is exported as the appropriate
XDCAM format.
The K2 Media Client allows you to alter clips so that they no longer match the
standard XDCAM specifications. For example, you can add audio tracks to exceed the
“# of Audio Tracks” specification. If you alter a XDCAM clip in this way, on MXF
export the K2 system exports the clip but it is not XDCAM compatible.
