Configuring Ethernet encapsulation
•
An Ethernet interface uses Ethernet encapsulation. For Ethernet interface configuration, see Layer
2—LAN Switching Configuration Guide.
•
A VLAN interface whose link type is access uses Ethernet encapsulation. For information about
VLAN interface and link type, see Layer 2—LAN Switching Configuration Guide.
Configuring VLAN encapsulation
•
A Layer 3 Ethernet subinterface uses VLAN encapsulation. For Ethernet interface configuration, see
Layer 2—LAN Switching Configuration Guide.
•
A VLAN interface whose link type is trunk or hybrid uses VLAN encapsulation. The VLAN interface
and the CE must reside in the same VLAN. For information about VLAN interface and link type, see
Layer 2—LAN Switching Configuration Guide.
