4.2 Installing RTMs, Blades and Boards
The following sections provide the information needed to install RTMs, AdvancedTCA blades
and AdvancedTCA boards like the shelf manager board.
Step Description
Installing RTMs, blades and boards This section provides information about how to install and
remove RTMs, AdvancedTCA blades, shelf manager boards
and alarm boards.
Covering unused slots This section provides information how to cover empty slots.
Installing power components This section provides information about how to install and
remove Power Entry Modules.
Installing blowers This section provides information about how to install and
remove upper and lower blowers.
Installing an air filter This section provides information about how to install and
remove an air filter.
Installing cable management This section provides information about to install the cables of
the system secure.
Installation Sequence of RTMs and AdvancedTCA Blades
If you are going to install an RTM and an AdvancedTCA blade you have to regard the
following sequence:
First install the RTM, then install the matching AdvancedTCA blade. Otherwise the blades
and RTMs will be damaged.
