Removal
The following subsections describe the procedures for:

3.4.1
Powering Down the System
For data integrity reasons Artesyn Embedded Technologies - Embedded Computing
recommends to save data and close all applications before powering down the system.
Power-Down Procedure
To power down the system, proceed as follows:
1. Power down all inserted and active blades using a system management software.
2. Insert a screw driver or a small object into the small slot at the top of the breaker. It
automatically switches PEMs to 0/OFF.

Removing the System
To reduce the effective weight and make it easier to remove the system, remove all heavy FRUs
from the system. This includes the following:
