Replacing Procedure
To replace an air filter, proceed as follows:
1. Find the two tabs on the lower front of the filter frame.
2. Push the tabs toward the rear of the shelf and pull the filter down.
3. Pull the filter carefully toward the front of the shelf to remove.
4. Insert the new filter (with filter frame tabs facing forward and pointing down) by
setting it on the filter guide rails (sloping up toward the rear of the shelf).
5. Grasping the tabs, push the filter into the shelf until it bottoms out.
6. Raise the filter up and into the lower card guide tray and release. The spring fingers
will hold the filter in the proper forward position.
The shelf incorporates two filter sensors. An error will be generated when the shelf is
operating with the filter removed. For a description of the filter sensors refer to the
SPARE/ATCA-A100: Control via IPMI Reference Guide.
Ensure that you insert the matching filter. Therefore, check the revision number at the front
of the filter.
