13. Install new compressor belt (A).
14. Pry compressor away from engine so that a force of
8–12 lbf (35–55 N) deflects the belt (A) 3/16 in. (5 mm)
at mid-span.
15. Tighten compressor mounting hardware (B).
16. Recheck tension and readjust as required.

Stop engine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or even a
pet could engage an idling machine.
1. Shut down the engine and remove the key.
2. Open the hood, refer to
3. Loosen compressor mounting hardware (B).
4. Pry compressor away from engine so that a force of
8–12 lbf (35–55 N) deflects the belt (A) 3/16 in. (5 mm)
at mid-span.
5. Tighten compressor mounting hardware (B).
6. Recheck tension and readjust as required.
