Table 4-4. Spanning Tree Bridge Configuration Parameters
Parameter
Definition
Mode
Determines whether spanning tree is enabled or
disabled for this bridge.Default is Enabled
Priority
Spanning Tree Protocol Priority level for this bridge.
The Default value is 32768, the parameter range is 0-
65535
Bridge Max Age
(seconds)
Sets the maximum amount of time that this bridge
retains bridging information before discarding. When
the maximum age expires, the bridge assumes it has
lost connection to the network, and sends out
requests to be re-added to the spanning tree.
The Default value is 20 sec., the parameter range is
6-40 sec.
Bridge Hello
Time (seconds)
Time between generation of BPDUs by the root
bridge. The Default value is 2 sec., the parameter
range is 1-10 sec.
Bridge Forward
Delay (seconds)
Amount of delay used when a port transitions to the
forwarding state. Set by the root bridge for the
segment. The Default value is 15 sec., the parameter
range is 4-30 sec.
Max Age
(seconds)
Current maximum age for this spanning tree.
Determined by the root bridge.
Hello Time
(seconds)
Current hello time for this spanning tree.
Determined by the root bridge.
Forward Delay
(seconds)
Current forwarding delay for this spanning tree. Set
by the root bridge.
