Parameters

username — Specifies the username of the remote SSH client. (Range: 1-48 characters)
•
rsa — Indicates the RSA key pair.
•
dsa — Indicates the DSA key pair.
Default Configuration
No SSH public keys exist.

User Guidelines
Follow this command with the key-string SSH Public Key-String Configuration mode command to specify the key.
Example
The following example enables manually configuring an SSH public key for SSH public key-chain bob.
key-string
The key-string SSH Public Key-string Configuration mode command manually specifies an SSH public key.
Syntax
key-string
key-string row key-string

row — Indicates the SSH public key row by row.
•
key-string—Specifies the key in UU-encoded DER format; UU-encoded DER format is the same format in the
authorized_keys file used by OpenSSH.
Default Configuration
No keys exist.

User Guidelines
Use the key-string SSH Public Key-string Configuration mode command to specify which SSH public key is to be
interactively configured next. To complete the command, you must enter a row with no characters.
Console(config)# crypto key pubkey-chain ssh
Console(config-pubkey-chain)# user-key bob rsa
Console(config-pubkey-key)# key-string row
