4-7-3 AddHostRefresh

AddHostRefresh

refreshes the information obtained from the Device Manager agent about the

hosts that the Device Manager manages (see

Table 4-82

).

A user who has only View permission cannot execute this command. A user to whom user-defined
resource groups are assigned and who also has Modify permission can specify the allowed hosts
only. If a host that is not allowed is specified, an error occurs.

NOTE:

If the copy pair management host is unable to recognize a copy pair that was created on a

host that is not the copy pair management host, the copy status of that copy pair cannot be
refreshed even if the AddHostRefresh command is executed. In such a case, use the
AddStorageArray

command to refresh the storage subsystem containing the copy pair whose

status you want to update.
