4. Noise Control Measures and Grounding
The PSEL controller has no dedicated terminal to connect the FG to ground. Accordingly, provide
grounding using the controller mounting screw.
[1] Provide dedicated Class D grounding. The grounding wire should have a size of 2.0 to 5.5 mm
2
or
larger.
[2] Notes on wiring method
Use twisted wires for the 24-VDC external power supply.
Wire the controller cables separately from lines creating a strong electric field such as power circuit lines
(by not bundling them together or placing in the same cable duct).
If you wish to extend the motor cable or encoder cable beyond the length of each supplied cable, please
contact IAI’s Technical Service Section or Sales Engineering Section.
