Xmedia Server Control Panel - XmediaServer Properties

The user interface for configuring and controlling the Xmedia Server is the X MEDIA S ERVER
C ONTROL P ANEL (figure 3-9 ). The Xmedia Server Control Panel features fifteen (15) tabbed
pages that contain parameters and settings related to the configuration and functioning of
the Xmedia Server.

Although the title bar of this window displays X MEDIA S ERVER P ROPERTIES , it is most
commonly referred to as the X MEDIA S ERVER C ONTROL P ANEL .
Once the Xmedia Server has been installed, you can open the Xmedia Server Control Panel
window by selecting: S
TART > S ETTINGS > C ONTROL P ANEL > V ERTIGO X MEDIA X MEDIA S ERVER .
Behind the Xmedia Server Control Panel’s user interface runs the XMS SERVICE application.
The XMS service’s main responsibilities are to manage the Xmedia Server’s interaction with
the Vertigo Suite applications and to define the configuration settings for different Xmedia
system setups and uses.
