Removing a state from the workflow

With the exception of the START and FINAL states which cannot be deleted, all other states
can be deleted from the workflow.

As the instructions below describe, deleting a state involves clicking the R

EMOVE

button in

the lower-right corner of the Workflow page. Note that the R

EMOVE

button is only enabled if

the state that is selected is not currently being used by a transition. In other words, a state
can only be deleted from the workflow if it is not actively assigned to a transition.

To remove and delete a state from the current workflow:
1.

Open the Xmedia Server Control Panel and select S

TATES

from the W

ORKFLOW

OPTION

drop-down list.

2.

Select the state that is to be deleted from the A

VAILABLE

STATES

list.

3.

Click R

EMOVE

in the lower-right corner of the Workflow page.

The C

ONFIRM

D

ELETE

dialog box appears.

4.

Click Y

ES

to permanently delete the state from the current workflow.

The state is immediately removed from the Available States list on the Workflow page.
As well, it is no longer available to be used to define a transition in the workflow (see

page 10-11

).
