Chapter 10 Settings

About pseudo post-rolls

Depending on video conditions, the controller may continue its playback to the point
where any video exists even if there is no video in the post-roll part. In this case, a still
image will be used for the subsequent video and only the timecode proceeds to the end
point of the post-roll.

Angle Button Swap

Turn this on to put angle buttons into Shift button operation. For
example, pressing A button triggers D button operation. When Angle
Button Swap is on, Shift button is green.

Alternate T-Bar

Turn this on to make T-Bar operate according to ALT setting in T-Bar
configuration. See

"Setting the T-Bar" on page 174

. Pressing Shift +

Fn + Stop switches Alternate T-Bar on/off. When Alternate T-Bar is
on, Stop button is green.

PRESET SPEED
FN-PLAY

This is the standard preset speed that you set manually. The playlist
plays at this speed when you press

Fn+Play

.

PRESET SPEED
FN-SHIFT-PLAY

This is the speed at which the K2 Dyno Controller plays a playlist so
that the playlist completes at the currently configured target duration.
The K2 Dyno Controller sets this speed automatically when you cue up
a playlist. The playlist plays at this speed when you press

Fn+Shift+Play

.

STEP

Turn this on to stop the playback every time after storing a single event
during a playlist playback.

Flying M/E

Turn this on to apply M/E when switching angles or changing cue up
points. During a live playback, M/E is not applied even if this setting
is turned on. For information on how to set the Flying M/E, see

"Mix

effect settings" on page 171

.

If a keyboard is connected, you can enable/disable Flying/ME by
pressing the [F1] key.

OnAir Preview
Multi Channel

Switches between the on-air preview and multi-channel modes.

Gang

Sets the option in the multi-channel mode.
If you turn the Gang mode on, operations with the T-Bar or JOG knob
are synchronized in the multiple channels selected from the channel
selection panel. For example, if you turn Gang on and select channel
C3 and C4, and press the T-Bar up to the 50% position, the video for
both the C3 and C4 channels is played at the 50% speed.

PreviewCtrl

Sets the option in the on-air preview mode.
If you turn this on, the channel you set as the preview channel is set as
the operation target. The preview channel is set using
"RECORDTRAIN" on the CONFIG screen. For more information
about the playback operation in the on-air preview mode, see

"Playback operations in the on-air preview mode" on page 73

.
