NOTE:
•
When VRRP works in load balancing mode, the mapping between a virtual IP address and a MAC
address can be configured but is not effective. A virtual IP address is always mapped to a virtual MAC
address in load balancing mode.
•
Configure mapping between a virtual IP address and a MAC address before creating a VRRP group.
Otherwise, you cannot modify the mapping between the virtual IP address and the MAC address.
Configuring VRRP Working Mode
VRRP works in either of the following two modes:
•
Standard protocol mode: In a VRRP group, only the master forwards packets.
•
Load balancing mode: In a VRRP group, all routers (master and backups) that have AVF can
forward packets to realize load balancing.
After you configure the VRRP working mode, all VRRP groups on the router work in the same mode.
