Specifying an exit password for the ScanStation client
By default, there are two ways to quit the client application at the ScanStation:
■ If the client is configured to use a hard keyboard, press Esc or Alt+F4 , and then press Yes in the
Exit window.
■ If the client is configured to use the soft keyboard, press About and then press the Exit icon.
You can configure the client so that users must enter a password in order to quit the client
application. Specifying an exit password prevents unauthorized users from quitting the client
application.
To specify an exit password:
1 In the console tree, click Devices > <device_name> > Manage .
2 Select the Settings tab.
3 Under Application , enter the exit password. The exit password is case-sensitive.
4 Click Save .
5 Select the Status tab and restart the client.
