4. In the Packet Capture Summary tab, choose the Apply Filter button to display the Apply Filter
tab.

The Apply Filter tab allows you to populate the following fields of filter properties:
After populating the fields with filter properties, continue to use the Apply Filter tab to perform the
functions described in

Start packet capture by clicking the Start PCAP button.
When Packet Capture is in progress, a progress message is displayed to the right of the Save &
Download button.

Stop packet capture by clicking the Stop PCAP button.
The Stop PACP button automatically downloads the PCAP file to the client.
Note: The Packet Capture automatically stops once the allotted buffer size is filled.

Apply Filter tab - fields, descriptions, and functions
Field
Description and action
Choose Filter ID
After choosing a filter ID, click the ADD button to add the filter. If you require
multiple filters, you can choose the operator along with filter ID.
Buffer size
Choose a buffer size from 1 to 32768 KB.
Packet size
Choose a packet size from 64 to 9234 Bytes.
Apply on
Choose to apply the filter on Default (BP and MP), BP, or MP.
Port
Choose a port; specify inbound or outbound.
Timer
Set the number of seconds at which the packet capture will automatically stop.
