4. In the Packet Capture Summary tab, choose the Apply Filter button to display the Apply Filter
tab.

The Apply Filter tab allows you to populate the following fields of filter properties:
After populating the fields with filter properties, continue to use the Apply Filter tab to perform the
functions described in
Table 86 .
• Start packet capture by clicking the Start PCAP button.
When Packet Capture is in progress, a progress message is displayed to the right of the Save &
Download button.
• Stop packet capture by clicking the Stop PCAP button.
The Stop PACP button automatically downloads the PCAP file to the client.
Note: The Packet Capture automatically stops once the allotted buffer size is filled.

Field Description and action
Choose Filter ID After choosing a filter ID, click the ADD button to add the filter. If you require
multiple filters, you can choose the operator along with filter ID.
Buffer size Choose a buffer size from 1 to 32768 KB.
Packet size Choose a packet size from 64 to 9234 Bytes.
Apply on Choose to apply the filter on Default (BP and MP), BP, or MP.
Port Choose a port; specify inbound or outbound.
Timer Set the number of seconds at which the packet capture will automatically stop.
