 IPv6 uses PTR record as well. For example, host33.nu.net.tw points to

FEC0::2AA:FF:FE3F:2A1C (FEC0:0000:0000:0000:02AA:00FF:FE3F:2A1C),

in pointer records of the reverse database, this IP address is stored as the domain

name C.1.A.2.F.3.E.F.F.F.0.0.A.A.2.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.C.E.F.IP6.INT.

pointing back to its designated hostname.


 For example, using the nslookup command to verify whether DNS lookup

functions normally. The process is as follows:

C:\>nslookup host1.nu.net.tw ----------->forward DNS lookup

Server: dns.hinet.net

Address: 168.95.1.1

Name:host1.nu.net.tw

Address:61.11.11.12

C:\>nslookup 61.11.11.12 --------------->reverse DNS lookup

Server: dns.hinet.net

Address: 168.95.1.1

Name:host1.nu.net.tw

Address:61.11.11.12

The result points out that 61.11.11.12 points to host1.nu.net.tw

Load Balancing Mode

Round-Robin: According to the set weight and priority, the access is distributed

in a cyclic fashion over the available links.

Redundancy: This mode only functions when one of the links gets disconnected.
