Terms in Virtual Server

The real IP address of the WAN.
Map to Virtual IP
The private network address of a server in the LAN.
Server Real IP
The real IP address used by the virtual server.
Service
The name of the service that the virtual server is providing.
External Service Port
The port number that the service will be using. If the service is just using one
port, then it can be modified. For example, supposing the HTTP port has been
changed into 8080, then “:8080” must be appended to a web site / page address,
such as http://www.yahoo.com: 8080.
Load Balancing
Round-Robin: In this mode, sessions are allocated to the internal servers by
means of a round-robin cycle. This improves overall efficiency and prevents the
entire load being placed on just a single server.
Backup Mode: When the main server ceases to function, the sessions will then
be allocated to the backup servers according to their number on the list.
Source IP Hash: Allocate the sessions according to the source IP.
Interface
Designates the interface of the server’s private IP address.
Private IP Address #
The private network address to be mapped.
