Terms in Setting

System Settings

 Allows the IT administrator to import / export system settings, perform a factory

reset and format the built-in hard disk.

Configuration File Backup and Restore Utility (Used: 40KB, Free: 9MB,

Capacity: 10MB)

 Saves a copy of the system settings file to the devices’ s internal storage. The IT

administrator can restore the system’s settings based upon the file’s date. This

feature is ideal if the system’s settings is required to be restored but no saved

settings file is available on a local PC.

 The device automatically saves the system setting file daily at 0:00 hours.

Alternatively, the IT administrator may choose to perform a manual backup at

any time.

 Any of the setting files saved on the device may be exported to a local computer.

Hard Disk Formatting

 The IT administrator may format the built-in hard disk.

Name Settings

 Type your company name and name the device in the corresponding fields.

Email Notification Settings

 Any alerts or notifications from the device can be emailed to the designated

recipient.

Syslog Message Settings

 Sends monitoring logs, network logs, IDP logs, etc., to the designated Syslog

server.

Management Interface Settings

 Enables the device to be accessed remotely through the management interface

using a web browser, from anywhere. The port number for the management

interface can be modified.

 A user who has been idle for a period of time (specified in the Idle Timeout field)

will be automatically logged out of the management interface.
