IDP Settings

 IDP signature definitions update automatically everyday or updated by the IT

administrator manually. After each update, it shows the latest updated time and

current version number.

 IDP mechanism can perform a virus scanning on compressed and unencrypted

files.

 Scanning engine:

 ClamAV: The default and free of charge virus scanning engine.

 The device can perform a complete scanning on every single packet.
 The device can be configured
 Security is divided into 3 levels : High Risk, Medium Risk and Low Risk. Action

taken to each level can be: Pass, Drop, Log or Alert.

Note:

1. To ensure signature definitions can be updated successfully, click on Test Connection to check

the connection to the designated IDP definition server.

2. Once the Proxy Server is deployed, the proxy settings under System > Configuration >

Settings must be configured for the CS-2001 to access the Internet.

IDP Logging Setting

 Configures the storage time of the IDP logs and deletes the logs when the time is

expired.

 Store the IDP logs in the remote server.

 Go to System > Configuration > Settings, configure the settings under the

Email Notification Settings section and then go to IDP > Configuration >

Settings and set as below:
 Tick Enable virus scanning.
 Tick Enable Deep Packet Inspection (IDP).
 Tick Enable NetBIOS Notification and then type the

Administrator’s IP Address.

 In the High Risk row, select Drop and tick Log and Alert.
 In the Medium Risk row, select Drop and tick Log and Alert.
 In the Low Risk row, select Pass and tick Log and Alert.
