Configuring remaining media servers
Software Configuration
This page checks for the
software required to support
the roles you selected on the
previous page.
Software required on a
Nearline K2 Media Server is
as follows:
•
K2 Server
•
File System Server
•
File System Client
If software with Yes in the Required column reports as Not Installed, you
must first install it on the media server before continuing. Refer to
Chapter 10,
Managing K2 software. After installing the software, click
Check Software
. When all required software reports as Installed, click
Next
.
NOTE: QuickTime 7 is also required.
Network Configuration
This page displays the
control network Ethernet
port, and allows you to
configure the FTP/
Streaming network Ethernet
port.
NOTE: This page
does not configure
the iSCSI interface
(media network)
ports.
The top port is the port over which the K2 System Configuration
application is communicating with the media server. If correctly
configured, it is already assigned the control network IP address, as
displayed on this page.
Select the other port and click
Modify
. A network configuration dialog
box opens. Enter the FTP/Streaming IP address and the subnet mask and
click
Apply
.
Click
Next
.
NOTE: QuickTime 7 is also required.
