CARD VALIDATION/INVALIDATION ERROR MESSAGES
This section contains an alphabetic listing of card validation error messages. In most cases, the
message appears immediately after the erroneous number is detected. Some errors cause
several messages to appear. Check all appropriate messages.
ALL OTHER ENTRIES (IN)VALIDATED
You entered an out of range number or invalid character in a string of numbers. The system
validates or invalidates all other legal numbers within the string.
ENTRY TERMINATED - INVALID CHARACTER ENTERED
For
IC or VC commands, you entered an illegal character either in a single entry or as part of
a string or range. For single or range entries, entry is terminated at the error. For string
entries, all entries before the illegal one are acted upon.
For
the
CC command, you tried to enter a comma (for string) or a hyphen (for range). The
CC command can check only a single number.
ENTRY TERMINATED-TOO MANY DIGITS
You entered a number over 9999, the maximum number in the lockout file. No action is
taken for this entry.
INVALID RANGE!
You entered either an end of range number less than the start of range number or a number
greater than 9999, the maximum number in the lockout file.
OUT OF RANGE!
You entered a number over 9999, the maximum number in the lockout file.
