ACTIVATE PUMP (AP) DATA ENTRY OPTION
DESCRIPTION
This option allows you to enter card data and an odometer/hours reading at the data terminal
before activating a pump. The system prompts you for the card number, ID Field 1, ID Field 2,
and odometer before allowing you to select a pump. The limit cutoff for an AP transaction is
determined by the quantity entered in code 9 of the LL command.
When this transaction is recorded, the digits of information, which are usually read from the card,
are replaced by those entered at the data terminal. If you do not need to enter data for a
particular field, press RETURN at that field; it will be filled with nines (9).

prompt, type AP. The system displays: CARD :
NOTE:
When a card number is entered, it is checked for validity against the lockout file.
If the number is invalid, the message LOCKED OUT appears and the command
is terminated.

Type any data for this field and press RETURN or just press RETURN to skip this field. The
system displays: (FLD1) :

Type any data for this field and press RETURN or just press RETURN to skip this field. The
system displays: (FLD2) :

Type any data for this field and press RETURN or just press RETURN to skip this field. The
system displays: ODOM :
5.
Type any data for this field and press RETURN or just press RETURN to skip this field. The
system displays: PUMP NO.
6.
Type the number of the pump you wish to access. The
*
prompt reappears.
The data normally read from the card is filled with the data entered at the terminal. If no data is
entered for a particular field, that field is filled with nines.
