In the vehicle file, if the odometer entry is valid or invalid but greater than the beginning
odometer, the system updates the following fields, E ODOM, to show the odometer entry;
KLMS to show the new, accumulated kilometers; LITERS, to show the number of liters
pumped, and L/100, to show the new calculation. Status flags may also change.

If the odometer entry is invalid but less than the beginning odometer, the E ODOM field is not
updated (this would result in negative kilometers). KLMS does not change, LITERS
increases by the number of liters pumped, and L/100 is recalculated. The status flag is
updated to << to indicate that fueling occurred but the last odometer was not recorded.
●
In the transaction file, if the odometer entry is valid or greater than the last recorded
odometer, the KLMS and L/100 fields are updated. If the odometer entry is less than the last
recorded odometer, the KLMS and L/100 fields contain question marks.

L/100KM Calculation Disabled

Any odometer entry is accepted. When the transaction completes, the system updates the vehicle
and transaction files as follows:

●
In the vehicle file, if the odometer entry is greater than the beginning odometer, the system
updates the following fields, E ODOM, to show the odometer entry; KLMS to show the new,
accumulated kilometers; and LITERS, to show the number of liters pumped. The L/100 field
will contain the letters N/A, indicating L/100KM is not being calculated for this record. Status
flags may also change.

If the odometer entry is less than the beginning odometer, the E ODOM field is not updated
(this would result in negative kilometers). KLMS does not change, and LITERS increases by
the number of liters pumped. The L/100 field will contain the letters N/A indicating L/100KM
is not being calculated for this record. Status flags may also change.
●
In the transaction file, the KLMS and L/100 fields are empty (filled with spaces).

LPH Transaction Processing

When the system detects an hours entry, the vehicle number is checked to see if it is in the vehicle
file. If the vehicle is in the file and LPH calculation and reasonable hours check is enabled, the
system validates the hours entry and updates the vehicle record when the transaction is
completed. If LPH calculation and reasonable hours entry is disabled, the system accepts the
hours entry without verification and updates the vehicle record when the transaction is completed.
Transaction processing for each condition is as follows:

LPH Calculation Enabled

The hours entry is checked against the last hours reading entered. If the difference is greater than
the maximum hours between fueling range (LM command) or less than the last recorded hours,
the entry is considered invalid.
