LED Interfaces – Depending on the frequency, up to 14 LEDs are available:
• For the CDM-570AL or CDMR-570AL – A red LED labeled “DC On! Caution!” is provided for
the “Rx” (at far left) and the “Tx” (at far right) Type ‘N’ connectors, each indicating the
presence of DC voltage.
• Six LEDs, all orange, indicate the active data interface type: RS422/EIA530, RS232, V.35, E1-B
(G.703 E1 Balanced, E1-U (G.703 E1 Unbalanced), or T1 (G.703 T1).
• A green LED labeled “ACT” and an orange LED labeled “M&C 100” indicate operational
status and the passing of 10/100 BaseT Ethernet-based remote product management data.
• For systems in an optional redundant configuration:
o
When the modem is connected to a 1:N switch, a red LED labeled “1:N Caution!”
indicates that there may be DC voltages and other control signals present on certain
pins on the 25-pin Data Interface connector.
o
A green LED labeled “Online” indicates the Online/Offline status of the modem.
o
A slide switch provides Off/On selection of the 1:N mode.
Utility and Traffic Data Interfaces:
• (1X) “Data Interface” DB-25F connector for serial-based synchronous data input/output.
• (1X) “Remote Control” DB-9M connector for EIA-232/-485 serial-based remote product
management.
• (1X) “10/100 Ethernet | M&C 100” RJ-45 modular port for Ethernet-based remote product
management.
• (1X each) “Unbal E1 | In” and “Unbal E1 | Out” BNC connectors for unbalanced G.703 E1
traffic.
• (1X) “Balanced E1/T1” DB-15F connector for balanced G.703 E1/T1 traffic.
• (1X) “Alarms” DB-15M connector for user access to the Form-C relay contacts that indicate
the modem alarms/fault status.
• (1X) “Ext Ref In/Out” BNC female connector for External Reference.
