6.3.2.1 CONFIG: Rem (Remote Control)
Remote Control: Local
Serial Ethernet(◄ ►,ENT)
Use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select a parameter. Press ENTER.
When you select Local mode, this disables remote control, although remote
monitoring is still possible.
6.3.2.1.1 (CONFIG: Remote Control) Serial
In Serial mode, in addition to enabling Serial M&C, this mode also allows Telnet
connection, which enables Telnet M&C for modems configured for redundant
operation.
When you select Serial from the Remote Control submenu and you do not define the modem as
an EDMAC SLAVE, the modem displays the following menu:
Serial Config: Interface
Baudrate (◄ ►,ENTER)
(CONFIG: Remote Control) Serial: Interface
M&C Bus Interface: RS232
RS485-2W RS485-4W (◄ ►)
Use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select a parameter. Press ENTER.

The modem displays this read-only screen when you select RS232:
In RS232 Mode the Bus
Address is fixed at 0000
(CONFIG: Remote Control) Serial: Interface  RS485-2W or -4W
The modem prompts you to edit the bus address when you select either RS485 mode:
RS485 Bus Address: 0245
(◄ ►,▲ ▼,ENTER)
The valid range of addresses is from 0001 to 9999.
To edit the address, use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select a digit, and then use the
▲▼arrow keys to change that digit. Press ENTER.
