6.3.2.4.2 (CONFIG: Rx) Dem (Demodulation Type)
Demodulation: BPSK QPSK
OQPSK 8-PSK 8-QAM 16-QAM
IMPORTANT NOTE – All selections are always viewable. If a Hardware or FAST option
is either uninstalled or invalid, the cursor will skip past the unavailable choice.
Use the
◄ ►
arrow keys to select the Rx Demodulation Type. Press ENTER. Referring to the table
in Sect. 6.3.2.4.1, the “Rx FEC Decoder Selection” dictates the “Available Rx Demodulation Type”
and “Available Rx Code Rate” choices.
6.3.2.4.3 (CONFIG: Rx) Code (Code Rate)
Rx Code Rate: 5/16 21/44
1/2 2/3 3/4 7/8 0.95 Unc
IMPORTANT NOTE – All selections are always viewable. If a Hardware or FAST option
is either uninstalled or invalid, the cursor will skip past the unavailable choice.
Use the

arrow keys to select the Rx Code Rate. Press ENTER. Referring to the table in Sect.
6.3.2.4.1, the “Rx FEC Decoder Selection” dictates the “Available Rx Demodulation Type” and
“Available Rx Code Rate” choices.
6.3.2.4.4 (CONFIG: Rx) Data (Data Rate)
Rx Dat Rate:5000.000kbps
2500.000ksym (◄ ►,▲ ▼,ENT)
1)
The Rx Data Rates associated with selection of the VFEC (VersaFEC) and ULL
(Ultra Low Latency) FEC types are UNAVAILABLE when operating in CDM-570
Compatible Mode. See Sect. 6.2 for further information.
2)
The overall range of data rates is from 2.4 to 10239 kbps. The overall range of
symbol rates is from 4.8 to 3000 ksymbols/second. The minimum and maximum
data rates are dependent on modulation type and FEC encoder rate. If you
change the modulation or FEC type and the currently selected data rate is no
longer supported, the modem then automatically adjusts the data rate up or
down, keeping the symbol rate constant. The bottom line of the display shows
symbol rate, based on FEC type, modulation, FEC Code Rate, and Data Rate.
3)
If G.703 is the current interface type, the data rate is fixed either at 1544 kbps
(T1) or 2048 kbps (E1).
4)
*IMPORTANT – Where noted in the following table: If EDMAC framing is
employed, the upper data rate is reduced by 5% for data rates up to 2.048 Mbps,
and by 1.6% for data rates above 2.048 Mbps, where EDMAC2 framing is used, or
for Rate 21/44 BPSK/QPSK TPC, or Rate 5/16 BPSK TPC.
