Configure HyperTerminal as follows:
• Make sure that your connection is
made using TCP/IP (Winsock)
instead of COM1 or COM2, as
shown at the near right.
• The Host address is the modem’s
Traffic/Management IP Address in
the form xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
• The Port number must be 23
when the optional Packet
Processor is INSTALLED, or 7023
when using a Base Modem
without Packet Processor.
• ASCII Setup (File  Properties  Settings  ASCII Setup): Check the "Send line ends with
line feeds" option in the ASCII Sending section, and the "Append line feeds to incoming line
ends" option in the ASCII Receiving section, as shown at the far right.

Telnet interface, is shown here:
