Loading and Unloading
Set Up the Data Collector for Communication
After setting the computer communication options, you must set the data
collector communication options. The baud rate setting in the data collector
must match the baud rate setting in Emonitor. The baud rate for the Enpac 2500
is set from the Instrument Setup screen.
1.
Power up the Enpac 2500 by pressing the ON/OFF key.
2.
Select Setup Utility from the Main Menu and press the READ/OK key.
The Setup screen appears.
3.
Highlight Baud Rate and press the RIGHT ARROW key.
4.
Select the desired baud rate and press the LEFT ARROW key to save your
choice.
5.
Press F4 (Apply) when you are finished.
Connecting the Data Collector and Computer (RS-232)
To load and unload data to the Enpac, you must connect the data collector to
your computer with a 9-way plug RS-232 cable.
1.
Locate the selected serial port (such as COM1) on the back of your
computer and insert the connector into it. Tighten the thumbscrews to
ensure a reliable connection. Use an adapter if necessary.
2.
Insert the other end of the cable into the RS-232 port on top of the Enpac
and make sure it is a solid fit. Consult the hardware diagram if needed.
