What's new in L&TT 4.15
L&TT 4.15 is an incremental release, which incorporated enhancements and fixes from L&TT 4.14
SR1 and L&TT 4.14 SR2, and targets:

LTO-6 support.
•
A new LTO Data Assessment test, which checks the quality of the data on the tape.
•
Continued usability improvements.

LTO-6 support is added for ESL G3, EML, MSL, and 1/8 G2

Selection time of ESL-e library drives over Ethernet has been significantly reduced. (L&TT
4.14 SR1)

Tape drives
Added support for LTO-6 tape drives.

Firmware can now be downgraded without using a password. HP recommends that
firmware not be downgraded, but this capability is available to verify that an issue is not
related to a firmware upgrade.

The local timezone is now correctly reflected in the ticket if the time can be decoded. This
feature is applicable for LTO-5 and later generation tape drives with the hp_lto.sys
driver on Windows.

The CM tape directory is now decoded in the classic section of the ticket.
◦
Log page 0x16 is now decoded in the classic section of the ticket. This page shows host
reported errors and is an alternative to using the current fault log.

Additional decoding is now provided for multiple partition tapes.

Corrected an issue with the NFF test where the DAX data for write margin was incorrect.
This issue did not affect the pass/fail criteria for the test, only the DAX data. (L&TT 4.14
