Eject and Retract
the XYP
Instrument Plate
Holder
To eject the XYP instrument plate holder:
1. Click Eject/Retract from the toolbar on the Maintenance tab.
The XYP instrument plate holder ejects.
2. Click Eject/Retract. The XYP instrument plate holder retracts.
Lower and Raise
the Sample Probe
Lower the Sample Probe when you are adjusting the Sample Arm,
adjusting the Sample Probe height when using different plates, or as
necessary.
To lower the Sample Probe:
1. Click the Sample Probe Down button from the maintenance tab.
The Sample Probe lowers. Red text appears above the Eject
button in the XYP commands section warning you to raise the
Sample Probe after the Sample Arm adjustment is complete.
The Sample Probe Down button toggles to show Sample Probe
Up after you tell the system to lower.
2. Click the Sample Probe Up button. The Sample Probe raises
back up to the ready position.
The Sample Probe Up button toggles to show Sample Probe
Down after you tell the system to raise.
Diagnostics Tab
The Diagnostics tab lets you see the progress of commands you
initiate within the system as well as specific details regarding each
sample analysis and the state of system components. The tab
contains the system monitor, message log, detailed sample progress
chart, and the status bar.
