Regularly, as required.
Replace the sheath fluid as required.
Weekly.
Visually inspect the SD system device and its connections
for leaks. If you see a leak, turn off the power to the SD system
device and contact Luminex Corporation.
Monthly.
Turn off the power to the SD system device. Clean the
exterior surfaces by wiping with mild germicidal detergent, followed
by a 10% bleach solution. Use glass cleaner and a soft cloth to clean
the reservoir window.
Troubleshooting
If the empty bulk sheath fluid container is not replaced and the
system continues to operate, the SD system device eventually vents
pressure to prevent air from being introduced into the Luminex 100
analyzer. This may interrupt a sample and prevent further samples
from being collected.

Troubleshooting
Procedures
Power On indicator light is not on.
1. Verify that the system is plugged into an outlet with current.
2. If using a surge protector, verify that the power strip is On.
3. Remove and reconnect the power cable.
4. Verify that the power switch is turned on.
SD system device alarm is sounding.
The alarm sounds if the SD system device is overfilled or unable to
refill. The SD system device begins priming the reservoir when the
sheath fluid level to 1/4 filled and ends when it reaches 3/4 filled. If
you visually cannot determine the sheath fluid level in the reservoir,
then perform the following steps:
1. On the SD system device front panel, leave the green air tubing
(top port) connected between the Luminex 100 analyzer and the
SD system device.
2. On the SD system device front panel, disconnect the blue tubing
(middle port) from the Sheath Out port.
3. On the SD system device front panel, disconnect the white
tubing (bottom port) from the Sheath In port. Then, insert this
white tubing into the above Sheath Out port.
