• Ensure that the XYP instrument door is completely closed.
There Is a Grinding Noise

• Ensure that the red shipping pin is removed from the XYP
instrument.
• Ensure that the alignment guide is installed correctly.
Software
Installation
The Luminex 100 IS arrives preloaded with the IS 2.1 software.
However, rare circumstances may require software reinstallation.
‹ To reinstall system software, follow these steps:
1. Uninstall the IS 2.1 software using the Windows Add/Remove
Programs function. To get this function, click the Windows Start
button, move to settings, click Control Panel, then double-click
Add/Remove Programs. Follow the instructions on the screen
to remove the program.
2. Insert the Luminex 100 IS software CD into the CDRW drive.
The program manager begins installing the software, giving on-
screen instructions as necessary.
3. Be sure to restart your PC after installing the IS 2.1 software.
