2. Wipe all exterior surfaces with mild detergent, followed by a
10% bleach solution.
3. Open both doors of the system and clean all accessible surfaces
with detergent followed by a 10% bleach solution.
4. Dry the sheet metal surfaces to prevent corrosion.
5. Plug in and power on the Luminex 100 analyzer and XYP
instruments.
6. Calibrate the system.
Calibration and System
Controls
Run calibration and system controls at least once a month during
routine use and when:
•
following installation
•
if the system is powered off
•
if the system is moved
•
if a part is replaced
•
if the delta calibration temperature shown on the system monitor
(located on the Diagnostics tab) is more than ±3 degrees.
Each step usually takes less than one minute. You must run
LabMAP controls after each calibration. See “Run System
Controls” on page 6-4.

Intake Filter
To replace the air intake filter:
1. Disconnect the instrument from ac power by turning off the
power switch on the rear of the instrument, then unplugging
the instrument power cord from the wall source.
2. On the back of the Luminex 100 analyzer, in the upper left
corner, remove the screw at the top of the panel and open the
panel door.
3. Grasp the tubing and pull the filter 3-4 inches from the unit.
Note:
Hold on to the tubing! Do
not allow the tubing to fall inside the
instrument.
