Calibrate the System
Run System
Calibrators
‹ To calibrate your system:
1. Vortex xMAP calibrators and controls containers to ensure
homogeneity.
2. Load a microtiter plate with at least three drops of each: CAL1 in
well A1, CAL2 in well B1, CON1 in well C1, CON2 in well D1
and sheath fluid in well E1. (You may assign different well
locations, if desired.)
3. Click Eject/Retract from the toolbar. The plate holder ejects.
4. Place the plate on the plate holder.
5. Fill the XYP instrument reservoir with a solution of 70%
isopropanol.
6. Click Eject/Retract from the toolbar.
7. Click Alcohol Flush from the Maintenance tab. A Confirmation
Screen dialog box appears.
8. Click OK and wait until the alcohol flush completes. The Device
Status section in the status bar changes from yellow to green and
says “Standby”. This takes about five minutes.
9. Click New CAL Targ. from the Maintenance tab to enter or
confirm the calibration lot numbers. An Update CAL Targets
dialog box appears.
